Now why on earth would I make a section in the Triple Recto amp section just to talk about the effects loop on the amp? There is a good reason or two because on the Triple Rectifier amp the loop is an assignable Parallel FX Loop with send and mix level controls. Mesa say that this loop in the Dual Rec and the Triple Recto is one of the most comprehensive loops in any amplifier. Hmmm sales patter I think. You don’t dump something that works well for most people right? In case you don’t know, a parallel loop is not always what you might need on an amp and more often than not a serial loop is of more use overall. I guess you could argue with that statement, but mesa moved to serial on this amps replacement.

How to make an external effects loop for modeling tones Published by justinmorell on April 29, I love the new GR I picked up my GR about a week ago, and have been trying to get a handle on its strengths and limitations. I bought this new unit to replace my GR , and it is for me primarily a guitar synthesizer. I have plenty of other effects and guitars to get a range of the basic sounds I need for various styles, so the guitar modeling is not as big of an issue for me.
Buy Donner Deluxe Looper Guitar Effect Pedal Loop Station: Single Effects hook up only one of the outputs, and then switch from one channel to the other by switching between CHANGE and FORWARD, thus using the two channels as “verse” and “chorus” or something (I haven’t tried this, just an idea). This kind of high technology jewels have become popular between guitarists, but you must be aware that how you make the connections is crucial in order to obtain the best from their possibilities, and the correct choice depends on the usage that you want to do of them. If you want to use them for live exhibitions there are two philosophies: Figure 1 — Photo credit: Figure 2 — Photo credit: BOSS Corporation the signal generated by your guitar is processed by the unit just like if you had a classic pedal board, but with plenty of versatility more because into any single patch you can decide the order of the effects and their settings.
In practice, selecting a patch is just like if you completely changed the pedal board that you are using!! Through the AMP CTL jack you can even switch the channels of your amplifier, and the state of this output is programmable into the patches. Note that with this configuration the only amplifier characteristic sound s available will be the one s of your amplifier.
If you are using a Marshall, it will never sound like a Fender, Vox, and vice versa. There are possible variations to this set-up. For example you can use the connections shown in figure 3 if you want to play stereo using 2 amplifiers:

So you signed up to tell Steve he is wrong? Well you failed I’ve learned a thing or two about Adam’s setup since I made this topic. Adam uses his Delay and flanger with his wah for some things, it would be VERY hard to go from a clean signal to all 3 of those without a looper or switch. Welcome to Rig-talk Hey jonl I’ve heard from a few ppl that you’re the person to speak to when it comes to Adam’s setup.

All about effects loops: Some musicians like The Edge from U2 have shaped their guitar tone around the use of effects. I personally love the use of effects after the foundational tone has been achieved. My philosophy has always been that effects are like the icing on the cake. If the original tone is great, then adding a layer of effects turns a great tone into something altogether special. Almost every software based instrument will have an effects loop built into the environment.
Where most other musicians will typically see an effects loop employed in the traditional sense, is a pair of jacks on the amplifier, mixer or other device they are connected into. When would I use one over the other? With what types of effects?
What is an effects loop?
Add an Effects Loop to Your Amp. Does your amp lack effects like reverb or any sort of echo , chorus, flanger, tremolo, or any of those effects that effect the volume of things? So how do you get around that? It goes in between the pre amp and power amp stages in your guitar amplifier and when you patch in effects there, they work great. There are, however, some good ideas. But why is this the suggested signal path? Follow along as we go pedal by pedal. The tuner goes first. This one is pretty easy. This is another one of the reasons there as so many TU tuners in pedalboards worldwide, even ones using nothing else but boutique true-bypass stompers. Free BOSS mobile phone wallpaper—choose from The GE-7 Graphic Equalizer is good to have after the overdrive in case you want to use it to scoop mids or bump certain frequencies for solos.
To show that these are not hard rules, it also works pretty well if the EQ is after the compressor but before the overdrive. But this changes how the EQ sounds, since you would be distorting it with the overdrive, so try it in the suggested position first. The NS-2 Noise Suppressor is best used in the middle, so it can take out the noise created by the amplifying pedals before the signal moves into the modulation and ambience pedals. Modulation stompboxes like our BF-3 Flanger should be after the tone-producing effects like distortion, wah, etc.
If you put it before the distortion, then you are distorting the sound of the flanger.

For decades, the electric guitarist has been shackled to the tube amplifier as the only means of achieving “that sound”. This magical combination is by no means ideal – the challenge to achieve a consistent sound from the practice room to the studio, and especially to the stage, continues to frustrate guitarists, just as it has since the early s. The entire process takes you only a minute and can be performed on virtually every guitar and bass amp.
The result is every bit as vivid and dynamic as the original amps.
The BOSS GT Guitar Effects Pedal is the newest model amongst their floor guitar pedal board products, a compact, rugged and powerful unit that can provide an impressive amount of possibilities to shape the sound of your guitar.
A small pop-up bait was attached to the hair, and a small shot is secured on the barb of the hook. The shot is held using fine monofilament line which has been doubled to form a small loop, then the shot split is close to trap the two pieces of line. Once the loop in the line has past the barb, the shot can be gently pushed up so the shot is more secure, but, it still needs to be able to slide up the hook if the barb penetrates a carp’s flesh.
The idea of the shot weight is to cause the point of the hook to drop down quickly and hold it on the flesh of the bottom lip as the fish moves away. This causes the point to immediately catch a hold in the flesh of the bottom lip as the rig starts to come out of the mouth. Both the shot and rig putty weights also have the added advantage of pinning the rig on the bottom of the lake bed. Buoyancy hook fishing rig in silt The first few pictures show the buoyant hook rig in silt.
I do believe this fishing rig may be presented better in silty areas as the hook and end tackle can still be hidden quite well amongst the fine pieces of silt. Our pictures show the rig is not hidden well because we use heavier silt particles in order for the rig to be seen clearly in the photos. In reality there would be many fine particles which would help to cover the majority of the end tackle.
The shot pushes the hook point down to pin the rig to the lake bed, plus, it helps drive the point down into the flesh of the bottom lip when a carp takes the rig into its mouth. The rig putty, placed about an inch or so away from shrink tube, also helps force the point into the flesh as the fish lifts up after taking the bait. What Is A Guitar Amp Effects Loop And How Do They Work?
What is an effects loop? What does it do? Can it hurt me?
If your Combo amp has both an effects loop and an emulated output (i.e. an output that simulates an audio signal of a mic’d amp), then you can use both the PA and the Combo’s Power Amp. Again, if your amp doesn’t have an effects loop, you can’t use this configuration.
The Fender Blackface amps are the amps made by fender in the 60s. The amps were produced in various wattages, from 5 watts up to the extremely loud and heavy Twin Reverb at watts. These amps today are very desirable and command relatively high prices if you were to buy one today. Lucky for the rest of us Fender has some really nice alternatives that you can buy today for a fraction of what one of those classic amps from 50 years ago will cost.
One of these new amps is the Fender Champion One of my main beefs with solid state amps or modeling amps is that they try to jam every feature and tone shaping option possible into the control panel and the result is a confusing amp that is not easy to deal with in real life playing situations. There are two channels and they are laid out in a way that will seem familiar to anyone who has used a Fender Blackface or Silverface amp.
The first channel is designed to sound like a classic Fender Twin Reverb and does a good job in producing nice Blackface tones. Like a Blackface amp this channel has the familiar Volume, Bass and Treble controls.
